Where the name comes from
Tangem (தஞ்சம்) is our family name. It is the name people know us by, and the name they search for when they want to find our work. For us it stands for a promise: honest, carefully made art that respects where it comes from.
For more than five years we have practised and taught traditional art — patterns, motifs and techniques passed down by hand. As more of our students and buyers joined us from other countries, we built Tangem Art: a digital home where our artwork can be seen, collected and learned from anywhere in the world.
Tangem Art operates from Hôtel Tangama, Dalaba, Mamou Region, Republic of Guinea, and works with clients and students online across the world.

We study each art form properly before we reinterpret it, and we explain its origins honestly in our heritage notes and journal.
Original work
Every artwork in our gallery is created by the Tangem studio. We do not resell other artists’ work without credit or permission.
Clear, fair dealing
Prices, licences and delivery terms are confirmed in writing before you pay. Our terms and refund policy are published openly.
Patient teaching
We teach in small steps, with feedback, so complete beginners and experienced artists can both make real progress.
