Who we are

Tangem is our family name — and our promise.

“Tangem” (தஞ்சம்) is the name our family has carried through generations of making art. For more than five years we have been practising and teaching traditional art, and today we bring that knowledge online so anyone, anywhere, can see it, own it and learn it.

Everything on Tangem Art starts with tradition: the patient geometry of the kolam, the symmetry of temple ceilings, the stripes of handloom cloth, the colours of the monsoon. We study these forms by hand, then rebuild them carefully as digital artwork — keeping the spirit, sharpening the detail.

Our tradition

Rooted in heritage, made for today.

Traditional art is a living language. The kolam drawn at a doorstep each morning, the mandala painted on a temple ceiling, the border woven into a sari — each one carries rules of rhythm, balance and colour refined over centuries.

At Tangem we learn those rules first, by hand. Only then do we move to the digital canvas, where precise tools let us preserve every line and share the work with people across the world.
